3 die in bloody hostage drama in Las Piñas

One of the fatalities during a gruesome hostage-taking incident yesterday in Las Piñas City.

THREE people died in a hostage drama yesterday afternoon in Las Piñas City.

Reniel Nonato, 16, and businessman Danilo Bilog, 35, succumbed to multiple stab wounds in the body while the hostage taker identified as Renan Fulgencio, security guard, died on the spot from bullet wounds in the body.

Initial report reaching the office of Las Pinas police chief Col. Simnar Gran showed the suspect was drunk and armed with two bladed weapons when he took the victims hostage.

Bilog, who was critically  wounded  during the hostage drama, managed to free himself and run out of the house and sought the help of his neighbors.

Responding elements of Las Pinas police tried to convince the suspect to surrender but instead he drew his gun and fired successive shots at the  lawmen which prompted the enforcers to return fire killing him instantly.

Police are still conducting investigation regarding the incident.
