A garment factory driver was arrested by police after he mauled and threatened to kill a lady co-worker Saturday night in Valenzuela City.
Raul Ardales, 43 of Lalaan 1st, Silang, Cavite and stay-in worker of Wilson Garments located at 169 Lumbang St., Valenzuela was still intoxicated when he was arrested by police following a complaint of Joe Riza Salazar, 27, trimmer and stay-in worker of the garment factory.
A report received by Valenzuela police chief Sr. Supt. David Nicolas Poklay showed that earlier at around 6:30 p.m., the suspect and his co-workers were engaged in a drinking session outside their room at the garment factory that lasted before midnight.
At around 11:30 p.m., Salazar discovered the scattered bottles of liquor and glasses which were left behind by her co-workers prompting her to confront Ardales who was the last one who left the drinking spree.
A heated confrontation ensued until Ardales still intoxicated, pulled the victim’s hair and hit her face and arm repeatedly.
Salazar shouted for help prompting their co-workers to pacify Ardales who continued to threaten to kill the victim.
