INSTEAD of worrying about the results of surveys, Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo just focuses on her work in Congress.
In an interview, Arroyo shrugged off the recent Pulse Asia survey showing her as the least trusted among leaders of the government.
According to Arroyo, the low trust rating is not new to her anymore as she already received that during her presidency.
“Those trust ratings are not new to me. Remember I was pilloried very much when I was President so I haven’t done much to overcome that because I just have to do my work,” Arroyo said.
Yesterday, Arroyo visited her constituents from the coastal barangay of her district in Pampanga.
Arroyo is on her last and final term as 2nd District Representative. She was elected as Speaker of the House in July 2018.
The House leader would not dwell on her survey showing but instead vowed to finish her Speakership with many bills approved especially the priority measures of the Duterte administration.
“My thrust is to concentrate on my work. I already said it the last time, I am not a stranger to those kinds of ratings,” Arroyo said.
In the latest Pulse Asia nationwide survey, the majority of Filipinos continued to approve of and trust President Rodrigo Duterte, Vice President Leni Robredo and Senate President Vicente Sotto III.
On the other hand, a “big plurality” of Filipinos was still critical of Arroyo.
