GAPAN CITY – Two Grade eleven students and a seaman were nabbed after engaging in a drunken brawl with a businessman and two others, one of whom was stabbed by one of the suspects inside a resto-bar here early Sunday morning.
Arrested were Diobert Dela Cruz, 18, Grade XI student, Rodel dela Cruz, 30, a seaman, and Arvin Ian Noquera, 17, Grade XI student, all of Tumana St., Bgy. Sinasajan, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija.
The three victims were identified as Aries Longalong, 19, college student, Charles Remigio Barrera, 26, and businessman Michael Barrera, 34, all of Bgy. Nieves, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.
City police head Lt. Col. Criselda Y. De Guzman said the fracas occurred shortly after the three suspects, who were already intoxicated, entered the Patio De Liz Bar and Grill along Maharlika Highway at Bgy. Sto. Niño at 1:35 a.m.
She said the trouble started when the three suspects had a heated argument with the victims, who were having a drinking spree also inside the bar in a nearby table.
