Wanted rapist wanting to date a female cop nabbed

A MAN wanted for a rape case in Bicol with no bail recommended on Wednesday was arrested by agents of the National Capital Region Office of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group when he showed up to meet a policewoman whom he tried to date following their exchanges of Facebook messages, CIDG-NCR chief Colonel Arnold Thomas C. Ibay told the People's Journal yesterday.

NPD District Director Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan said the arrest of Tarhata Abdullah, 41 of No. 329-B Manuel L. Quezon St. Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, and Joyce Rio Lusung, 18 of Sampaguita Village, San Pedro City, Laguna, was the result of follow-up operation from the previous drug operation conducted by elements of District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) last June 30 against Edmundo Paes, 40 and confiscation of 60 grams of shabu in Caloocan City.
