Post-poll crisis

The streets of the capital were relatively quiet Thursday with police and military personnel keeping a close watch on the heart of the city, including the election supervisory agency building — the centre of much of the violence — and the presidential palace amid fears of more unrest.

Cops exhorted on integrity

“Integrity means being consistent in one’s behavior under every circumstance, including those unguarded and tempting moments. Almost two decades ago, I could still remember a former head of this very office who knowingly certified an erroneous handwriting specimen analysis of the once infamous fictitious character named Jose Pidal, who laundered over P200 million in secret accounts,” he added.

Governance with ‘Malasakit’ vowed

“Rest assured that the malasakit governance we have been implementing will continue to ensure that people who are less in life would enjoy more government’s malasakit under President Rodrigo Duterte through sufficient funding on education, health and other social services,” said Romualdez, the outgoing Leytefirst district representative and the chairperson of the House Committee on Accounts, whose group was one of the 51 party-list organizations proclaimed winners by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) last Wednesday night.

‘Real Bikoy’ resurfaces

PETER Joemel Advincula, the confessed real ‘Bikoy’ who appeared in a series of anti-Duterte videos prior to the May 13 national and local elections surrendered to the Philippine National Police on Wednesday and yesterday tagged opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and the Liberal Party as the ones behind the ‘Ang Totoong Narcolist’ videos.

We knew he was lying – Sara, Paolo

Peter Joemel Advincula, the man who claims to be Bikoy, yesterday said that all his claims in the narco-list videos were lies. He pointed at the Liberal Party and Senator Antonio Trillanes as behind the orchestrated stories meant to oust the President and destroy the reputation of the Duterte family members.

Dela Salle University denies destabilization role

Donna Patricia Manio, head of the DLSU Media and Public Relations-Office for Strategic Communications, said that no such meeting as alleged by Advincula ever took place inside the DLSU campus. Advincula has alleged that the ‘Bikoy’ videos were hatched during a series of meetings with personalities from the camp opposed to the Duterte administration held inside two universities in Manila, DLSU and Ateneo.
